....after spending much of Easter weekend in bed with Tonsilitis, feeling melancholy and woe begone, the spring sunshine was a tonic for my soul,so yesterday we spent a few hours in Newlyn-a fishing port across the bay from us-catching sun rays & sea breezes!I felt the true convalescent, strolling the prom with wobbly bed legs before sitting on a bench with a tub of Cornish sunshine-magic medicine-I got my smile back! The final photo shows the view looking back towards St Michaels Mount-our home-it amuses me that we can see our island home from so many places locally,my mama can even see us from her back garden a few miles up the road-I catch myself smiling to see the castle turrets peeping out fom unexpected skylines, keeping a watchful eye until I return!
...don't know how these sneeked in on the end of this post, but hey-enjoy!X
What an amazing view and what a fabulous place to live ! Sorry to hear you have been feeling under the weather, hope your trip out did the trick.

glad to hear you're feeling better! I get tonsillitis all the time, not nice. (I escaped from France when the doc wanted to take my tonsils out :P)
ReplyDeleteOh I do love it down your end too...

Hope you're feeling better soon!
ReplyDeleteIt's great to keep up with your blog - it acts as a constant pull back to all things Cornwall. Hopefully I'll be back in the summer, ready to sample many Jelberts, saffron buns and a new store that I hear is opening in Marazion... :).
Take care.
